We’re so glad you’re here! We are the Orillia Baptist Church and welcome you to invite you to come and visit us. You will find information about our various ministries and the time and location of services. If you need information, we invite you to contact us and we will seek to help you. Our burden is to see God glorified in the world!
Our History
In 1991, a group of Christians in Orillia were concerned with establishing a biblically ordered Church. They desired to have a congregation where the focus would be on worshiping God according to his Word; recognizing the authority of God’s Word in every area of church life, as well as family and personal life and proclaiming the gospel of Christ in our local community and to the world.
We now have a permanent facility located at 90 Douglas Street in Orillia, Ontario, and we invite you to come and worship with us. All are welcome! Please see our Ministries page for regularly scheduled and special events.
Our Pastor
Reverend Brad Powers
Pastor Brad was born and raised in Kapuskasing. His mother took him to Kapuskasing Baptist Church, where he heard the Gospel and trusted the Lord, and learned to serve in the church. After high school, he earned a Bachelor of Theology decree from Toronto Baptist Seminary.
He served Mitchell Square Baptist Church in Oro-Medonte for sixteen years, where he met and married Lorrilyn, and where their three children were born. In 2000, the family moved to Sudbury, to pastor Berean Baptist Church, until the end of 2021. Brad and Lorrilyn moved back to Oro-Medonte at the beginning of 2022, and have been serving at Orillia Baptist Church since March.
